Trinnov Amplitude8 for the Ultimate Home Cinema
France's TRINNOV Audio have released the ultimate in home cinema multi-channel amplifiers with the Amplitude8, an 8 channel Hypex NCore powered amplifier.
The Amplitude8 has been produced in USA by well-regarded amplifier manufacturer ATI, to TRINNOV's specifications and uses eight NC1200 class D modules.
The two linear power supplies based on heavy duty toroidal power transformers allow every module of the Amplitude8 to deliver 225W into 8 ohms, 375W into 4 ohms and 500W into 2 ohms, per channel.
Paul McLean of Wavetrain Distribution told StereoNET:
The Amplitude8 is a beast. It delivers a huge dynamic range and bass impact only found in the best commercial theaters, a powerful three-dimensional soundstage and the most energetic climaxes and explosions.
The amplification stage of the Amplitude8 is said to feature the industry’s lowest distortion and noise specifications, and its performance is frequency-independent. The result is audiophile-grade performance in the home cinema, along with zero background noise during the quietest passages or scenes of a movie.
The Amplitude8 also integrates seamlessly with TRINNOV's Altitude32 AV preamp launched earlier this year. It supports Dolby Atmos®, Auro-3D® , DTS:X® and has just been selected the Best Product 2016-2017 in the High-End Home Theater category by the European Imaging and Sound Association.
A full 32-channel system including the AV preamp and all amplification requires less than 20U of rack space, yet delivers almost 10,000 watts of power at 8ohms.
Inputs and outputs include 1 Balanced (XLR) input, and a 5-way binding post, per channel.
Weighing in at 44.8kgs, the Amplitude8 really is a beast. It also appeals to the growing DIY-active speaker market searching for high quality multichannel amplifiers.
TRINNOV Audio Amplitude8 is available now for $19,999 RRP.
