THE FESTIVAL OF SOUND CELEBRATES MUSIC AND SOUND IN LONDON

Music lovers and audiophiles should make haste to pencil in “London” and  “September 28-30”.

These three days will be given over to The Festival Of Sound, an event featuring talented live performers, a selection of the work of the rock industry’s most famous photographers and a working display of hi-fi systems, headphones and portable audio, and the latest streaming devices workshops and seminars.

We’d walk across a field of broken glass to hear Dr. Jack Oclee-Brown exploring the history of KEF loudspeakers and Russ Andrews talking about hi-fi tuning tips, or the folk from PMC loudspeakers advising you how to position your speakers to hear them at their best.

The Festival Of Sound gives you the chance to attend music-orientated seminars held by globally famous producers and recording engineers the calibre of Chris Kimsey, Gary Langan and Liam Nolan who will all share their in-studio anecdotes about the making of some of the world’s most popular recordings such as Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody and Adele ‘25’.

If you’ve always wondered what working with David Bowie, YES, ABC, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Art Of Noise and Kenny Jones (Small Faces and The Who) was like, you’ll find out by going to the seminars.

But you only have to go as far as the Novotel in London West, which is located at the Hammersmith International Centre.

As well as showcasing the best gear from heavyweight audio brands including Bowers & Wilkins, KEF, Naim, PMS, Vertere Acoustics and Yamaha, visitors to The Festival Of Sound can also enjoy live performances by a vast number of talented musicians.

Highlighting live music are James Lavelle (UNKLE) and Philip Sheppard who will be joined with concerts by Chris Difford, Art Of Noise co-founders JJ Jeczalik and Gary Langan, Beth Nielsen Chapman, Kokomo (plus founding members of the Average White Band), Unsung Singers, Peaky, Margin Kings, King Kofi, DRE, Antonio Forcione and a considerable number of others.

After two years of innovation and boundary-breaking, The Festival Of Sound is back in the Capitol reminding visitors that really, it’s all about the music.
