Tellurium Q Scoops Queen’s Award Again

Tellurium Q has been honoured with the Queen's Award for Enterprise International Trade for the second time.

British hi-fi cable company, Tellurium Q, may have only been founded in 2009, but it has now managed to score its second Queen's Award for Enterprise.

Now in its 55th year, the Queen's Awards for Enterprise are the most prestigious business awards in the UK, with winning businesses able to use the esteemed Queen's Awards emblem for five years.

Tellurium Q Queens Award 2018 and 2021

Announced Wednesday, April 21st, Tellurium Q has been recognised for excellence in international trade for “three years of outstanding growth”. This comes after gaining the same award back in 2018.

We are not aware of another hi-fi company gaining two awards in this way in the last 20+ years.

Geoff Merrigan, Tellurium Q's managing director, told StereoNET:

We saw the first Queens Award in 2018 as a once in a lifetime event. Everyone at Tellurium Q was blown away by the achievement. In that context, it is not hard to imagine our shock at achieving it again in the minimum time possible. This is down to our incredible team and the efforts of our distributors and dealers worldwide, who have been able to allow our customers to hear why Tellurium Q cables are worthwhile in their systems.

Geoff urges other companies to get involved with applications for the Queen's Awards for Enterprise 2022 opening on May 1st 2021. For more information, visit https://www.gov.uk/queens-awards-for-enterprise

WHAT WE THINK

Firstly, we raise our glasses in a celebratory toast to Geoff and the Tellurium Q team for this much-deserved recognition. Not least for managing to achieve “outstanding growth” during a time where many companies were struggling to keep ticking over, let alone growing their reach. Secondly, if you have not auditioned cables from the Tellurium Q stable, we really do recommend you correct that the next time you're considering an upgrade.

Congratulations, Tellurium Q!
