Simaudio’s Neo Ace Is The Full Deck

Comprehensive or all-in-one audio systems, aren’t for everyone. But in a case of different strokes for different blokes (and gals, of course) Simaudio Moon’s Neo Ace may be just the total home solution some hanker for.

But unlike Akai, Teac and Pioneer 3-in-ones so popular with the masses in the seventies, the Neo Ace doesn’t have a turntable, doesn’t have a cassette deck or an FM/AM tuner.

The Neo-Ace is a thoroughly modern one-box solution featuring an integrated 50W into 8ohms per channel amplifier, aptX Bluetooth, high-resolution digital to analogue converter as well as a network streamer.

A new addition to Simaudio’s Moon Neo Range, the ‘’Ace’’ is the brand’s first model to carry an OLED screen to make for an interface that’s intuitive as well as clear to read.

The built-in DAC supports DSD128, DSD64 and DSD256 using USB. It also processes PCM at rates up 384kHz/32-bit again solely through USB.

Formats supported are the ubiquitous MP3, WMA, OGG, AAC, FLAC, WAV, ALAC (up to 96kHz), AIFF, DSF and DFF.

Simaudio’s proprietary App is called ‘MiND’ (Moon Intelligent Network Device) and via your smartphone or tablet you can playback and catergorise music from NAS drives or PCs linked to a home network.

The Neo Ace is bundled with TIDAL and also features vTuner internet radio.

And yes, the Neo Ace even has a moving magnet phono stage.

Connections including the phono stage comprise three RCA inputs, two optical and two coaxial, a type-B USB port and stereo pre-outs.

All that’s needed for a full kosher audio system is to add a pair of speakers.

Simaudio’s Neo Ace is available now for $4,999 RRP

Simaudio is distributed in Australia by Busisoft AV.
