We're big fans of iconic British brand Quad and even bigger fans of all-in-one products that bring Hi-Fi sound and convenience to the masses.

And that's exactly what the Artera Solus does. A fully integrated streamer, CD player, high-res DAC, and boasting 2x75 watts power output, the Artera Solus could be all you need for your living space, office or holiday home.

The Artera Solus features an ESS Sabre32 9018; a 32-bit, eight-channel hybrid multi-bit Delta-Sigma DAC which is highly capable and well respected by audio aficionados.

With four digital filter options, you can adjust the audio from both CDs and your external sources to your individual preference.

Digital inputs include USB, with support for PCM data up to 32-bit/384kHz and also DSD64/128/256, ensuring the Artera Solus is fully equipped to make the most of today’s hi-res music formats.

There's also two coaxial, two optical and one USB Type B inputs, along with a pair of RCA inputs for analogue sources, or a turntable. Outputs include one pair of single-ended RCA and one pair of Balanced XLR outputs.

It also uses the same CD mechanism and circuitry as found in its Artera Play, and also adds Bluetooth aptX streaming for convenient playback from mobile devices.

Quad has also hinted at the release of an app-controlled big brother to the Artera Solus expected later this year.

Available now in black or silver, the Quad Artera Solus sells for £1,499.95 MSRP.
