PRO-JECT CELEBRATES ORTOFON’S CENTURY WITH SPECIAL EDITION TURNTABLE
Pro-Ject presents the Ortofon Century Anniversary turntable in honour of their cartridge-making friends.
Pro-Ject is celebrating the 100th anniversary of their long-time partners and friends at Ortofon by releasing the Ortofon Century turntable.
The new anniversary turntable is based on The Classic SB albeit with some performance tweaks, for instance, the sub-platter has been upgraded for a more sophisticated aluminium one.
This newly released turntable comes, unlike most other The Classic offsprings, in an elegant piano black chassis. Together with the silver aluminium sub-chassis, this results in stunning aesthetics. The supplied cartridge is a limited edition Concorde and marks the celebration of Ortofon‘s 100 years of existence.
The Ortofon Century will retail globally at an MSRP of €2,990 and comes fully equipped with built-in push-button electronic speed control. Additionally, should you be rocking 78s the turntable can accommodate them by you merely placing the drive belt on the upper ring of the pulley and selecting the respective speed on the sub-chassis.
The celebratory turntable includes a record clamp and leather mat and features adjustable decoupling feet, a precision-balanced TPE-dampened aluminium platter and a metal/MDF sandwich chassis that is floating on TPE suspension. The tonearm is a classic 9-inch s-shaped number.
