NAD M33 Now Shipping

If you have been waiting for the NAD M33 to land, rejoice!
The NAD M33 streaming DAC/amplifier (£3,999), part of the brand's Masters series sporting BluOS, is now shipping.
The M33 was unveiled at CES earlier this year and boasts the new Purifi Eigentakt (self-clocking) Hybrid Digital amplifier technology along with a minimum of 200W per channel on tap.
Cas Ooostvogel, NAD's Product Manager, told StereoNET:
As the first amplifier to utilise Purifi Eigentakt amplifier technology, its performance must be heard to be appreciated. The M33 is a true state-of-the-art audiophile amplifier in the traditional sense yet with a distinct difference: It fully caters to the modern world where the majority of music is delivered over the internet.
NAD M33: Hi-Res and Future-Proof
A compact and attractive unit, its intuitive operation is via a 7-inch inch TFT touchscreen colour display, not to mention voice control thanks to Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant devices, combined with BluOS. BluOS proudly states that it's the only true wireless High-Resolution multi-room system available today. As well as unfolding Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) streams, it supports more than 20 free and paid subscription services. The system will also slurp music from your locally stored music libraries.
You will also find Dirac, one of the most highly regarded room correction systems, onboard. Using the bundled “precision microphone” Dirac not only adjusts for frequency response, but it also optimises the impulse response.
Future-proofing the M33 comes by way of a pair of MDC slots. NAD introduced the MDC platform well over a decade ago and it enables products to be updated with new technologies which didn't even exist at the time of introduction.
NAD M33 Connectivity
The NAD M22 has a host of connectivity options including five digital inputs and three analogue inputs, including XLR Balanced, MM and MC phono.
Around back, the rear panel hosts two sets of speaker outputs capable of bi-wiring and a stereo Subwoofer Output with a fully configurable Digital Crossover. Airplay 2 and Bluetooth AptX-HD allow for local wireless streaming from a smart device.
Additionally, the M33 is equipped with a discrete headphone amplifier, which can even drive planar and high impedance studio phones, according to the manufacturer. With high voltage and low output impedance, headphones will sound their best. For those who wish to enjoy their headphones but not be tethered to a cable, the integrated Bluetooth AptX-HD module makes it simple to possible to enjoy wireless headphones, too.
Finally, the M33 is fully compatible with all the leading smart home systems from leading companies such as Apple, Crestron, Control4, Lutron, KNX and many others. The M33 is also compatible with the Roon music platform.
The NAD M33 is shipping now and costs £3999 /€4999.
