The AV7706's dedicated pre-amplifier board features Marantz Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Module (HDAM) tech that provides an ultra-fast slew rate, true wideband performance and maximum dynamic range for optimum sound quality, says Marantz. There is also a separate power supply that feeds just the analogue pre-amp stage and “audiophile-grade” ELNA capacitors.

Digital audio goes via the advanced reference-class 32-bit AKM D/A converters on all channels that convert the digital signal coming from the two powerful Sharc Griffin Lite DSPs to the analogue domain.
