Lyngdorf MP-40 Surround Sound Processor Out Now

Lyngdorf Audio's MP-40 surround sound processor has been released today.
Lyngdorf Audio has announced the release of the new MP-40 surround sound processor. The easy-to-install and user-friendly MP-40 processor is said to possess all the sonic qualities and performance of the flagship model, MP-60.
The MP-40 supports HDMI 2.0b with eARC (Enhanced audio return channel) and Dynamic Lip-Sync. Additionally, there's support for the immersive surround formats DOLBY ATMOS, DTS:X, and AURO-3D. Also, thanks to RoomPerfect calibration on all channels, you should be able to dial in the perfect sound for your listening environment. Frequency response is quoted as being ±0,5dB from 20 to 20,000 Hz.
Allowing a video throughput of up to 18 Gbps, the MP-40 supports full 4K 60Hz video stream including Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG. The MP-40 also supports pass-through of the new HDR format for broadcast, HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma).
Also, the MP-40 sports a built-in media player meaning that you get access to Spotify, internet radio and Roon, as well as control via Airplay, and UPnP. Furthermore, you can play your network stored music through Ethernet or USB connections. Other connections include four HDMI (one is eARC), an AES/EBU, three coax, four optical and one USB audio input. Outputs are listed as, 16 XLR, and one coax.
The MP-40 has no forced cooling, and so there are no noisy fans to ruin your experience.
Anker Haldan, Lyngdorf's CCO, told StereoNET:
The new MP-40 offers the legacy performance of the renowned and awarded MP-60, but with features and specifications that make it the obvious choice for small home cinemas and entertainment rooms. We're proud to add this new processor to the family of Lyngdorf components, and I know users will be impressed with its ease of use and performance.
We are awaiting confirmation on UK pricing.
