LG Tone Free Earphones Coming to the UK
LG has announced that its self-cleaning, Meridian Audio-tuned earphones are heading over to the UK
LG's Tone Free Wireless (from £99) earphones tick off what you would expect from some new true wireless earphones. However, how many earbuds clean themselves when recharging?
Thanks to the LG UVnano case, an industry first by the way, when you put your earphones to recharge, they also get blasted by ultraviolet light. LG tells us that the wireless charging-capable UVnano case will eliminate “99.9% of E. coli and S. aureus 2 from the non-toxic, hypoallergenic silicone ear gel and inner mesh”.
Naturally, as well as getting spruced up, the case also packs three six-hour charges. You can also opt for a 5 min fast charge which will see you through that final hour of your journey.
On the sound side of things, the LG Tone Free feature sonic tweakery from renowned British hi-fi brand, Meridian Audio including an Ambient Sound Mode for letting in some outside noise when you need to hear what's going on around you. Additionally, the earphones pack HSP (Headphone Spatial Processing) that promises a more immersive, three-dimensional sound and utilise Bluetooth 5 for its wireless chops and IPX4 to protect them from splashes.
As well as the usual array of touch controls on the earbuds you get Google Assistant and Siri support.
The LG Tone Free earphones come in black or white, with the LG HBS-FN6 costing £149, and the LG HBS-FN4, priced at £99. Both are on sale in the UK from July 6th.
