LG Lines Up Premium Soundbars for CES 2020

LG is readying a new range of soundbars for CES 2020.

LG has teased the press with details of a new range of soundbars featuring “premium audio quality” ahead of its official launch at CES 2020.

There appear to be at least four new models within the range – SN11RG, SN10YG, SN9YG and SN8YG.

The flagship amongst LG's new offerings is the SN11RG, a 7.1.4 set-up that comes complete with two wireless rear speakers, both of which are forward and up-firing for Atmos skills.

The remaining trio can be brought up to full surround sound by using LG's optional SPK8 Wireless Rear Speaker Kit.

As well as Dolby Atmos support there is DTS:X for all your immersive audio needs. Additionally, LG's 2020 soundbars will also get AI Room Calibration for the very first time. The auto-calibration tech enables the soundbar to analyse your room and adjust its output to suit the space available.

We also have word that the LG 2020 models will feature Google Assistant built-in as well as 4K pass-through and eARC support.

Finally, LG continues its relationship with Meridian Audio, with more models boasting the British hi-fi specialist's Bass and Space technology. According to the company, this boosts low-frequency reproduction while also widening the soundstage. Lastly, there is Image Elevation, which is said to raise the perceived height of vocals and instruments.

Stay tuned for more CES 2020 news.
