KLIPSCH ACTIVE SOUNDBARS AND WIRELESS SURROUND ANNOUNCED

Klipsch has announced UK availability of its new active soundbar range.
The latest soundbar range from Klipsch draws inspiration directly from the company's Reference speaker line. The US-based brand is aiming to make a big statement with the new soundbars and promise to deliver the full depth and scale of a big movie soundtrack as well as the convenience expected from these devices.
Both the Klipsch BAR 48 (£565.00 SRP) and BAR 40 (£350.00 SRP) soundbars feature quality materials and horn-loaded tweeters. Additionally, you get the latest audio technologies, including wireless subwoofers.
The design purpose is not just to upgrade the sound from your telly but to try and further replicate the performance and ability of a multi-box surround system without encroaching into the room.
Just like the Klipsch Reference passive speaker line, the BAR 40 and BAR 48 are both made from wood enclosures, avoiding unwanted resonances associated with plastic bodies, and feature acoustically neutral woven grilles. However, its the exposed horns that will trigger conversations as well as help deliver an impressive audio performance.
Klipsch BAR 48
The Klipsch BAR 48 is a high performance 3.1 channel soundbar system. Featuring a dedicated centre channel speaker for enhanced clarity, and a wireless 8-inch subwoofer. There's also built-in surround sound processing technologies such as Dolby Digital audio technology, Dolby Digital Plus technology, DTS technology and DTS-HD technology to make sure you get exactly the sound you expect.
Designed to fit discreetly below the TV screen, the slim profile BAR 48 soundbar measures 48-inches in length and just 2.8-inches tall. You also get the option to wall-mount the unit or place it on a table.
Klipsch SURROUND 3
For added convenience, the BAR 48 can also be combined with the optional SURROUND 3 (£265.00 SRP) speakers.
The SURROUND 3 wireless surround sound speakers create a 5.1 surround sound system capable of delivering Dolby and DTS 5.1 formats natively without the faff of running cables from the front of your room.
Klipsch BAR 40
The Klipsch BAR 40 is a 2.1 soundbar with a wireless 6.5-inch sub and features a built-in Dolby Audio decoder and enhanced virtual surround sound modes for a cinematic experience. As it measures just 40-inches in length and 2.8-inches high so it can be added discretely to any room.
The Klipsch BAR 48 and BAR 40 both feature a variety of inputs and also works seamlessly with Bluetooth wireless technology for high-quality music playback from enabled devices.
