KEF LS50 Wireless II Now Roon Ready

KEF's Applause Award-winning LS50 Wireless II has received Roon Ready certification from Roon Labs.

KEF's LS50 Wireless II started this year by achieving Applause Award-winning status thanks to featuring “...detailed and nuanced sound signature, superb imaging and lots of power” and “fine wireless implementation, ease of set-up and useful connectivity options”. Today the KEF wireless music system adds Roon Ready to its long list of attributes, including Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT) and 12th generation Uni-Q driver array.

The LS50 Wireless II was launched in September 2020 and is KEF's first Roon Ready speaker. Much more than just a pair of wireless speakers, the compact cabinets house innovative audio technologies, advanced Digital Signal Processing in the form of KEF's Music Integrity Engine, and 760W of custom-designed amplification in a true active configuration.

The LS50 Wireless II sports the W2 platform that already boasts support for all the major music streaming services up to 24bit/384kHz, as well as MQA and DSD. Now, thanks to Roon Ready certification, the LS50 Wireless II benefits from all of Roon's RAAT protocol features.

Roon is an intuative and engaging way to browse, organise, and listen to music. You get access to artist photos, credits, bios, reviews, lyrics, tour dates in an interactive magazine-style format. Furthermore, as well as searches interrogating your networked library and streaming services at the same time, Roon is also a multi-room, multi-user networked audio platform offering features such as bit-perfect playback and Signal Path display.

Being Roon Ready means that Roon discovers, connects to, and delivers music to the LS50 Wireless II without any further configuration.

LS50 Wireless II is available in four finishes, Carbon Black, Titanium Grey, Mineral White, and a Crimson Red Special Edition.
