KEF adds THX-Certified Wall and Ceiling Speakers and more to Ci Range

KEF is adding to its versatile Ci range of speakers at ISE 2020.

KEF's impressive Ci range speakers welcome the Ci3160REF-THX, Ci160RR-THX, Ci130QSfl square and Ci130QRfl round flush-mount speakers to its architectural family.

The Ci3160REF-THX, a new THX-certified in-wall speaker, is smaller than its flagship Ci5160REF-THX sibling and features two linear 160mm bass drivers and KEF's flagship 125mm MF Uni-Q driver array. The drivers are set within an 11mm thick brushed aluminium baffle that sports a black anodised finish. Additionally, the Uni-Q driver array and Shadow Flare complement KEF Foundry Edition finishes in stylish copper.

Taking care of your ceiling-based audio is the Ci160RR-THX. This THX-certified speaker features KEF's 160mm Uni-Q driver array with a 25mm tweeter. Helping to create a broad soundstage and mitigating sweet-spot issues are KEF's Tangerine Waveguide, and Z-flex surround.

KEF has also released its first flush-mount speakers, taking its 'hide your speakers, not your sound' philosophy to the next level, according to the Maidstone-based speaker maker. The square Ci130QSfl and round Ci130QRfl naturally both feature the renowned Uni-Q driver array, combining a 130mm midrange driver and 19mm tweeter along with a Tangerine Waveguide. The bundled magnetic grilles are paintable so that these frameless speakers remain discreet.
