GOLD NOTE PA-1175 MK2 POWER AMPLIFIER ANNOUNCED

Gold Note, the Florence-based purveyor of high-end hi-fi, has just introduced its revised version of the PA-1175 stereo power amplifier.
The Gold Note PA-1175 MK2 boasts a 640VA custom toroidal transformer that's mated to four matched output transistors per channel for a fully-balanced circuit that nets 200wpc (Watts per channel) into 8 Ohms. Furthermore, that can be augmented to hit 520wpc when bridged into mono thanks to the company's BTL. Just to note, that is nothing to do with a classic bacon-based sandwich, rather Bridge-Tied-Load.
Gold Note told us that their proprietary BIAS constant current generator ensures high-current delivery, low distortion of <0.01%THD @ 20Hz-20kHz and a slew rate of 20V/μs.
You get a choice of balanced and single-ended inputs. Gold Note also offers Adjustable Damping Factor. The front-panel switch enables the switchable damping factor of 250/25, and this allows for pairing with low sensitivity difficult speakers and easy load or mini monitors.
Gold Note told StereoNET
At 250 DF, it guarantees the greatest control necessary for large and difficult speakers while at 25 DF acts as a low power tube amplifier, ideal to drive high-sensitivity or mini monitor speakers which would not perform well with big amplifiers.
The output is passed to your speakers via Gold Note BP-01 Rhodium plated binding posts.
The PA-1175 MK2 begins shipping this month and will be available through Gold Note’s dealer network for €5500. Case options are Brushed Aluminium, Black, Silver or Gold with side inserts available in Brushed Aluminium, Black, Silver or Gold.
