Fyne Audio Wall and Ceiling Speakers Launched
Fyne Audio has unveiled a full range of home custom install loudspeakers.
The Scottish speaker brand has been making waves since it first appeared on the scene in 2017, and rightly so. However, its latest coup is designed to be more heard and less seen as Fyne Audio is launching its residential custom install loudspeakers.
The new in-wall and in-ceiling speakers span two ranges and five models and are based on the brand's entry and mid-level drivers.
The entry-level FA300iC and premium FA500iC home install ranges draw heavily on the technology and acoustic tuning of Fyne's award-winning F300 and F500 series cabinet speakers respectively, hence the naming convention.
The FA300iC series comes in compact 6-inch (FA301iC) and more potent 8-inch (FA302iC) flavours. The multi-fibre bass / mid cones are terminated with Fyne's signature FyneFluteTM roll surround that promises improved low-frequency performance. Additionally, the FA300's 25mm polyester dome tweeter is mounted on an adjustable pod offering up to 20 degrees of tilt so it can be focused on the key listening position.
The FA300iC models boast 100W @ 89dB/W and 120W @ 90dB/W power handling for the 6-inch and 8-inch models respectively. All models are supplied with round low profile magnetic grilles that are fully paintable to match the home décor. Each grille is supplied with a scrim cloth to further conceal the drivers. A square grille is offered as an optional extra on both models.
The FA500iC series is Fyne's premium custom install range. Here you get the company's renowned IsoFlare technology and the high-frequency driver sophistication of the F500 series. Furthermore, this range features a crossover tuned to get the very best from a flush-mount infinite baffle position. Again, you get a choice of 6-inch (FA501iC) and 8-inch (FA502iC) driver, plus an 8-inch version with the driver set at 15 degrees (FA502iC LCR). The latter could be perfect for a home theatre installation, for instance.
There's an increase in power handling in this range, too, with up to 150W and 91dB efficiency. Equally suitable for positioning in-ceiling or in-wall thanks to shallow mounting depths and easy to install clamps, all models offer sprung binding post terminals to further ease installation. The FA501iC and FA502iC are supplied with both round and square, low profile magnetic-mounted paintable grilles, while the FA502iC LCR is provided with round only.
Finally, all models in Fyne's new home install ranges are supplied complete with cut-out template, scrim backed grilles and simple dog leg clamps to secure into plasterboard wall and ceilings.
