Exclusive Preview of New BenQ Projector Range

The world's number one brand in DLP Projectors, BenQ, is offering readers the exclusive opportunity to get a pre-launch demo of their brand new projectors including the upcoming W11000 4K projector.
The BenQ W8000 home theatre projector with THX® HD Display™ Certification delivers precise Rec. 709 colour fidelity and stunning high contrast to accurately reproduce every detail of the original content filmmakers intended for audiences.
It's the first BenQ projector to be awarded the prestigious and exclusive THX Certification. According to BenQ:
BenQ engineers pursued over 18 months of rigorous development comprising 200 THX laboratory tests covering over 500 data points to ensure that it meets Rec. 709 colour accuracy, precise gamma, ideal colour temperature, enhanced uniformity, and super high native contrast ratio requirements. The W8000's THX Mode is pre-calibrated by THX engineers to deliver the most accurate out-of-the-box picture quality possible.
The W8000 is compatible with five interchangeable optional lenses including 2.4:1 anamorphic aspect ratio, to integrate seamlessly into space ranging from cozy family rooms to purpose-built audiovisual screening rooms. Also, horizontal and vertical hardware lens shift and big zoom capability preserve perfect image quality while facilitating installation flexibility over a variety of mounting and placement options.
StereoNET is currently reviewing the W8000 projector ($4499 RRP bundle with standard lens, $3999 RRP unit only) and has been very impressed so far. Stay tuned for that review.
BenQ W11000 4K UHD Projector
Also being displayed for the very first time in Australia is BenQ's W11000 4K UHD home cinema projector. The W11000 is painstakingly engineered, built, and individually calibrated to deliver precise Rec. 709 colour and performance for an authentic movie-going experience the way film-makers intended. And with five optional lens choices, W11000 fits right into any home cinema room.
The W11000 is the first 4K DLP projector to integrate the new 4K chip from Texas Instruments and will be available from December for $7999 RRP.
