Denon Announces 2021 8K-Ready AV Receiver Range

As enthusiasts are only just embracing 4K content and capable equipment, Denon is staying ahead of the curve with its announcement of its first 8K-ready AV Receiver range for 2021.

Building on its X-Series range, the new models include the Denon AVC-X6700H, AVC-X4700H, AVC-X3700H, and AVR-X2700H which according to Denon, “usher in the next generation of home theatre, music and gaming superiority.”

Celebrating its 110th anniversary, the range is set to deliver a theatre experience in your home, with a dedicated “8K” HDMI input enabling 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz video pass-through. There's also HDR format support including HDR10+ and Dynamic HDR, and a new HDMI feature called Quick Media Switching (QMS), which allows a source to instantly switch the resolution or frame rate to eliminate screen blackout.

The 2021 range of X-Series models will still support HDR10, HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) and Dolby Vision, as well as 4:4:4 Pure Color subsampling and BT.2020 pass-through.

The unprecedented rise in gaming popularity due to global social distancing rules means Denon's range will offer razor-sharp motion clarity with 4K/120Hz pass through and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) to reduce frame tearing and improve overall precision. Get a jump on the competition with Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and Quick Frame Transport (QFT), each designed to reduce lag and improve stats. See the enemy before they see you with stunning 8K picture quality. Existing HD and 4K content can also be upscaled to 8K for compatible display devices.
