Creative has been in touch to tell us about its Outlier Air true wireless earbuds that sport graphene drivers!

The Creative Outlier truly wireless earphones joins the seemingly ever-growing choice of wire-free ear pleasers. However, it was the fact that these cordless earbuds are equipped with graphene driver membranes that caught our eye.

Granted, having the latest Qualcomm QCC302x series chip onboard does help with the 10 hours battery life per charge. Add to that the ubiquitous battery pack case boosting that to 30 hours of playback time, the Creative Outlier Air already looks a decent prospect.

Furthermore, the Outlier Air uses the Bluetooth aptX codec for improved audio streaming. But it is those high-performance 5.6mm graphene driver diaphragms that appear to be the biggest differentiator here. “What's so good about graphene?” you cry. Well, it happens to be the world's thinnest and hardest nano-material. Graphene is lighter than paper, stronger than steel, and a better conductor of electricity than copper. According to Creative, the graphene diaphragm consumes minimal energy while providing superior audio quality. The upshot is that these earbuds can optimise power to squirt excellent audio with detailed highs, well-balanced mids, and immersive bass right into your lug-holes.

Rounding off the Outlier Air's skills is its IPX5 sweatproof protection, making them the perfect companion at the gym or for your daily commute. Additionally, as you can also just use one side of the Outlier Air, it is ideal for cycling as well.

Price and availability

The Creative Outlier Air retails at £74.99 direct from Creative's website.

We're that intrigued that we should have some to review soon, so stay tuned.
