C SEED 301 GIANT FOLDING OUTDOOR TV

C SEED has upped its big TV game and announced the C SEED 301.

C SEED certainly has previous form in releasing monster televisions with its 201 (that's 201-inches) outdoor TV designed by Porsche Design Studio. Now here's the C SEED 301-inch telly which is made from carbon fibre and titanium making it super big, super-stiff yet super light.

The C SEED 301 TV measures a whopping 301 inches diagonally (7.6 meters). Not only is it super large, but it is also super-bright as it will have to contend with the glare of the sun, no matter how rarely in this country. With a luminosity of 4.500 nits and a contrast ratio of 4.500:1 mated with 48-bit colour depth, we are promised a crystal clear picture.

Boasting more than 3,956,736 LEDs processing image data up to 100,000 times per second, the C SEED 301 can display 281 trillion radiant colours.

Featuring full HDR picture refinement tech to render optimum peak brightness and contrast making 4K looking awesome the visuals are supported by a sound system of six broadband speakers and three subwoofers with a total output power of 2700 Watts.

The C SEED 301 TV frame and column are made from carbon fibre with titanium hinges - oh, did we mention this TV folds away? Each of the individual pieces is entirely processed and finished in Austria: from the design to the production and assembling.

Naturally, carbon fibre has been used for its weight to strength ratio, but it also looks pretty cool when the light hits it. Let's face it if you have something this large you want it to look good too, right?

As the C SEED is using carbon fibre and titanium, it actually weighs less than you'd imagine. However, it still tips the scales at 1650 kg; nevertheless, its robust design and stiffness can take wind loads of 50km/h before TV automatically retracts and hides.

You see, the C SEED 301 TV screen is hidden in an underground storage casing awaiting a press of a button on the remote control. Once activated, the towering telly takes 25 seconds to achieve its full height of 19 ft (or 6 meters) with effortless ease.

Seven large LED panels then unfurl in an equally silent movement within the next 40 seconds. The panels interlock to form a seamless TV screen that bursts into action. With the same ease, the widescreen TV C SEED 301 submerges into the ground for space-saving storage when not in use.

We reckon we've found our perfect television to watch Wimbledon on while we have a BBQ. We're also taking it that if you have to ask the price, you probably won't be able to afford a 301.

Oh, we've heard whispers around the $1.5 million mark, if you really are interested. Just saying.
