Arcam and JBL IMAX Home Cinema and L82 Classic Speakers - Bristol Show 2020

Arcam and JBL are bringing classic audio, and the latest IMAX sounds to the Bristol Hi-Fi Show 2020.
Under the Luxury Audio Group banner, Arcam will be setting up a home theatre experience powered by its HDA range of electronics along with JBL's latest HDI series of premium loudspeakers. Additionally, visitors will also get their first glimpse of the recently announced JBL L82 Classic bookshelf speakers.
IMAX Home Cinema
Even though the Bristol show has cut back on its AV displays, this hasn't prevented Arcam from bringing in some impressive home theatre kit. This year sees the brand unleashing new models from its HDA range for live demos such as the 16-channel surround AVR30 receiver, (£4,999) as well as the IMAX Enhanced-equipped AV40 processor (£3,749).
Those will be pushing along the freshly launched JBL HDI line of speakers set in a 7.4.4 formation. The full-range speakers feature their maker's patented High-Definition Imaging waveguides and compression driver technology.
These are bolstered by the accompanying HDI-1200P powered subwoofer that benefits from the same engineering prowess, using a high-density Poly-Plas cone and a three-inch voice coil.
JBL L82 Classic
The Bristol Hi-Fi Show also gets the first UK outing of the JBL L82 Classic. Unveiled at this years CES in Las Vegas, the L82 could be the answer to those that fancied the 2018-launched L100 Classic loudspeaker but lack the space (or permission).
The L82 is almost 200mm shorter,100mm thinner, and around 80mm shallower than its big bro but still promises grin-inducing performance.
Alongside the L82 you will find the new Arcam SA30 G Class integrated amplifier which, Arcam says, is the perfect partner for a pair of L82 Classics.
